HalalKnot exists to help practising Muslims around the world find a marriage partner in a way that honours Islamic values and personal dignity. We were tired of matrimonial apps that felt like dating apps — endless swiping, open messaging, and pressure. HalalKnot takes a different path: you send a considered proposal. Selected contact details are shared after mutual acceptance, according to each member's sharing choice.
Privacy-first. Photos are blurred and contact details stay hidden until both people accept a proposal. We collect as little personal data as possible.
Proposal-based, not swipe-based. No DMs, no swiping — a respectful, intentional process designed for people serious about marriage.
Family involvement and safety controls. Community guidelines, separate reporting and blocking tools, and moderation are designed to reduce harmful interactions.
HalalKnot is an independent project operated by Umair Javaid, an individual sole trader established in Ireland and trading as HalalKnot. Registration of the HalalKnot business name with the Companies Registration Office (CRO) is pending. HalalKnot is not an incorporated company or a limited company. It is not backed by a large company or investors — it is built and maintained by a small, dedicated effort, which is exactly why privacy, trust, and doing right by our members come first.
